Wow!!! Great photo!
Great picture.I am always surprised at the pictures I get from my little waterproof compact. But clear water and a sunny day always helps!Stewart M - Melbourne
I love it when you can see the eyes so clearly. I don't think I've ever asked what you shoot with.
What an amazing closeup and that is some really cool light. I see some rusty yellow feathers on the neck I'd never have noticed before.
Spot on focus! You did a beautiful job on this head/beak shot.
So clear...wonder what it's looking at!

Wow, amazing shot... you must have a 500mm lens to get these consistently outstanding bird shots... love it!
Wonderful capture. The clarity of that eyeball is remarkable. Hope the GBH nabbed his lunch.
Great close up. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
Good golly, Miss Molly! I tell you...you are the best. I cannot believe this shot. It looks like you are close enough to touch it. Great lens. The look in that eye is unforgettable, and the beak...well, all I can say is I would NOT want to be a fish inside it! genie
Awesome capture Brian!
Very nice image!(It must be Heron day at WBW as I just posted about one also!)
So, were you sitting in his nest waiting for him. You are so close I fear might for your life :) Looks like he may have been swallowing a goodie ... is that why he let you get so close. You are just too cool ... Love it, Brian.Andrea @ From The Sol
