Mile High

This is the Mile High Swinging Bridge on top of Grandfather Mountain in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The bridge gets its name from the altitude at its location, not the actual distance from the platform to the ground. Even so it's still far enough down to the ground that some people refuse to cross it. The bridge is 228 feet long and provides fantastic views of the surrounding mountains.

My girlfriends used to rent a condo there every summer for our annual gathering. I was the only one who would go across that darn bridge. It is wicked. I surely would nit want to go across in a wind. Great shot that brings back lots of memories.
Beautiful mountain!

A wonderful spot to photograph from! I have always wanted to go to the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver, Canada.
See it here:
I want to take photographs there and in the area!!!

Wow that would be quite the view. I'm not sure if I'd cross it but if I did you can be assured I'd be holding on for dear life.
