Suburban Hunter

My kitchen is on the back of the house and the door that goes out to the patio has full length glass. Late one evening I happened to look out the door and saw this juvenile Cooper's Hawk sitting on the neighbor's fence. It just so happened my camera was on the kitchen table. I quickly grabbed it and because of the Venetian blinds on the door I had to lay on my belly on the kitchen floor to shoot through the eight inches of glass below the blinds. I keep the blinds raised a bit so the cats can look out the door. It was late and cloudy and had been raining so the light was awful, but I got exactly three photos before the hawk took off.

LOL... I wish I could have been there to watch you take these photos. You went to some extra hassle but it was worth it.

He's a handsome fellow, and your photos are wonderful, and well worth getting down on the floor to take them.
