Recluse

Though I've seen brown thrashers on many occasions, this was the first time I had photographed one because they are normally reclusive. They aren't regulars around my yard and when one is around it usually spends all its time on the ground. I just happened to be ready when this one posed on a limb.

Cool! Love the intense yellow eyes this bird has. - Great looking shots of it.

Now this is a rare event - you put up pictures of a bird that I have pictures of as well. Now, my pictures are not much good - but under the (geographical) circumstances I should not complain!

Cheers - Stewart M - Just back in Melbourne!

Those yellow eyes are always haunting. I love the pretty spotting on the breast. A bird we don't get so fun to see!
