Carolina Wren 1/640 sec. f/6.3 ISO 2500

When you talk about body size to noise ratio, the Carolina Wren has to be one of the loudest birds in the animal kingdom.

Terrific photo! Wrens make up for their size with enormous attitude!
Great photo!
I think they are loud because they can open up their whole head when they sing! At least they open up more than other birds I have observed.

What a beautiful photograph. The detail is wonderful and the colour contrast stunning.

One of my favourite birds. This is a top shot!

The wrens in the UK are of similar voice - and a similar size I think. Great birds.
