This is the first photo in a project I've decided to call "On A Stick". I know, it's very simplistic, but it's dumb enough that it might just work. My goal is to see how many different birds I can photograph on a dead branch in my backyard studio. I should have done this a long time ago since I've been posting these shots all summer, but like a lot of ideas, it just occurred to me. It won't be a daily thing, but the series will be ongoing. I'm sure you'll all be waiting with much anticipation. *snort*
This is a good lead-off photo for the series because my jays rarely land where I'd like them to. The nerve, right? They're very suspicious, they get in and get out, so I consider this a good score for my project. Perhaps if I fed them peanuts like Miss Debbie over at that purple blog, they would be more accommodating.
